Sewer System Inspection Using Aqua Zoom Camera
Faced with
consent decree requirements, backups, overflows and
failing infrastructure, the St. Croix Public Works Department
hired InfraMetrix to perform an inventory of the service
and structural condition of more than 50 miles of the
island's sanitary sewer system.
This project,
funded by a $420,000 USEPA grant, has identified numerous
missing manhole covers, manhole and pipeline blockages
and pipe failures within the collection system —
which pose a threat to public health and safety, and
the environment. As a result of InfraMetrix's services,
St. Croix has been able to address these critical cleaning
and repair needs — avoiding serious consequences.
