Sewer
System Assessment
To
address crumbling infrastructure issues for Stoneham,
MA, InfraMetrix inspected and analyzed approximately
134,000 ft of 6-in to 15-in sewer lines.
The
project includes data collection, an evaluation of available
information on the wastewater collection system, development
of rating criteria for prioritizing system rehabilitation,
preparation of a set of spot rehabilitation specifications
suitable for bidding, and submittal of a written document
describing the recommended Infrastructure Maintenance
Management Program (IMMP), and alternative data management
tools (computer software).
All
pipelines and manholes within the study areas were televised
inspected using the Aqua Zoom camera. Every pipe segment
and manhole was given a condition rating using WRc rating
standards which classified each pipe segment and manhole
as requiring no rehabilitation, spot rehabilitation,
or comprehensive rehabilitation. Pipelines falling into
the "no rehabilitation" category will be programmed
for future inspection. Pipelines and manholes requiring
spot rehabilitation have been recommended for rehabilitation.
